Description

Scientific Name: Xenesthis Immanis

Common name: Colombian Lesser Black

Simply gorgeous and huge. In our opinion one of the most beautiful bird spiders of all new world species. The Colombian Lesser Black tarantula females have stunning black velvet legs with dark purple coloring on the carapace. The best part of all is the bad-hair-day fuzzy blonde butt! The abdomen is covered in long blondish/red setae/hairs that always look like the spider stuck it’s finger in a wall socket. The males are much more striking with a brighter color purple covering the coxa, femur and patella of the legs and a slightly darker purple on the carapace, finished off with the blondish/red setae/hairs on the abdomen.
