Description

Scientific Name: Cyriocosmus elegans

Common Names: Trinidad Dwarf Tiger |  Valentine Tarantula | Trinidad Dwarf Tarantula

One of the smallest species of Tarantulas in the world, Cyriocosmus elegans is a true charmer, especially with the little heart shaped patch on it’s abdomen, giving it the nickname “Valentine” tarantula.

Growing no larger than 4 to 5cm, this cute little tarantula makes for an excellent pet. Although they are burrowers, they are also very active spiders meaning they are out and about quite a bit, especially at night when hunting prey which they tackle with gusto. Able to tackle prey their own size, expect to see some exciting take downs with this species even though they tend to move in a slow and calculated way.

Simply the cutest tarantula you could add to your collection…
