Description

Scientific Name: Eupalaestrus campestratus

Common names: Pink Zebra Beauty

The Pink Zebra Beauty is quite a common name in the hobby because this is a very docile and hardy tarantula which is also a very good choice for beginners. Just like Grammostola rosea – Chilean Rose, the Pink Zebra Beauty is also sometimes called a pet rock because they seem to have endless patience and a very laid back attitude overall. They will sit out in the open for ages and do not get startled very easily. These are also beautiful tarantulas with their combination of “Zebra” striping on their legs and overall pinkish setae/hairs.

You can use deep enclosures if you want because Eupalaestrus campestratus can sometimes be a re-decorator and will not only move things around, but they will create bunkers and mounds all over the place as they see fit.

When young, they might be a little skittish or nervous but this changes as they grow. They become much calmer as they get bigger but note that they grow very slowly, so you might want to buy them at a decent size already if possible. They don’t grow extremely large, but make great display tarantulas.
