Our beginner tarantula kits have everything you need to keep your first (or 2nd or 3rd or 4th…) tarantula. We’ve also paired these kits with docile tarantulas that are known to be great for beginners to start with. We’ve already supplied you with everything you need except feeder insects.
All that’s left are a few steps to get your new tarantula enclosure set up and ready to house your new monster!
How to set up your kit.
Step 1: Place the PVC tube shelter however you like inside the enclosure.
Step 2: Open the bag of peat mix and pour it in to the enclosure, leaning the enclosure to the rear corner. This will create a nice mound over the PVC tube shelter.
Step 3: Flatten the mound a little to place your water dish on top of it. Use the lid of the water dish for tiny slings or the water dish itself for bigger slings.
Step 4: Gently add your tarantula sling to it’s new home.
If you set up your enclosure the way we have, it creates plenty of space for your new sling to roam around in and also provides a secure shelter to hide in. But you can set it up however you like, add plants, little pieces of drift wood or whatever you feel would make it look just the way you like.
